drying out

in the midst of doing my 2000 word essay due in 2 hours i wanted to blog about something:

the flower plant on my window sill is dying. slowly but surely. it started wilting sometime ago but i kept watering it hoping that it would be revived. i even got someone to water it for me when i was in berlin. but its still wilting and there are no signs of life from it. i watered it yesterday and maybe today.

but no sign.

so today i didnt water it.

berlin was greeattt! haha didnt expect it to be so much fun! theres so much about it i didnt know before! haha definitely was a good place for history and shopping! i learnt so much abt their history n cold war n ww1/2 n berlin airlift, berlin wall n everything! the food i thought wld be crap but they have the best pastries n cakes n desserts! there was not enuff time to eat all of them!! so pretty i tell u wait till u c the yummy pics! and o man xmas markets were soooo pretttyy!! gluhwein (hot wine n hot apple liquor- oh oh oh so goood u have to try it shiok la!!)

did u know that berlin is actually one fo the best places to go for nightlife? and they have this berlin weisser thingy (invented by the french tho but oh oph oh so gooood!! they have it green n red its like beer with some kind of apple/ cherry syrup- oh so refreshing n easy to drink just hmmhmm) haha so surprise surprise we wen on a pub crawl n boy were we almost wasted. but of cos the better of us (me) pulled us tog n made sure we got home safe! o man i really love berlin n i so do wanna go there again! its damn modern the place, damn nice architecture n really modern glass buildings that are huge!! the government is very liberal as well. its jus a really cool place i dun mind living in really- was actually thinking abt it. and tho german the lang is really damn freaking hard to get n pronounce it really does sound nice..

so i dun wanna b back. but this is the reality. theres so much abt the place i dun think i can blog abt it quickly. but i dun have much time to blog in detail.. i will post pics (sibei alot la) wen i can, hopefully soon, but im so stressed w all the work n play i have to do in my time before i go back! there are 2 essays to be dued, 1 party to go, 1 party to organise, 1 xmas show to go to, normal lecture time table n then i need to pack.. all in 6 days?? how am i gonna achieve that?? wish me luck guys and for those in singapore! cya sooooon! those not there await my berlin pics!!!

overall i had a fabulously fantastic superduper birthday weekend! didnt do any work no, didnt go to the gym no, ate alot of cake yes and took pictures yes and danced yeah! :)

on the birthday itself (fri) we had dinner at chaucer's (tho i forgot to take a group picture there!! ugh) but we took some wen we went to bowl after that- see pictures (liling, sarah, lianne n nicko, eunice n kwang)

the next day (sat) we had a flat dinner. we had yummy thai green curry, chicken korma n seafood fried rice (courtesy of sheibala n devi), homemade tiramisu (johnny), swedish meatballs and doritos n mix (courtesy of somerfield n tecos, haha)- see more pictures

on sunday was akua's birthday too! we went over to her place to help cook and celebrate not to forget a bit of fun exercise- dancing!! (tho we were all really tired, as most of us only slept at 5am on sat :) still had loads of fun :) see pics!

anyway for thanks for the frens here who made it superb. its one of the best birthdays ive had, everu celebrated (since in sg its always exam time) of cos my frens back home, thanks for the wishes! i really felt loved despite missing physical aspects! :) so all in all its been great.

now ive got to get back to 2 days of lect before its berlin tmr!!!!! omg i cant believe it :)

hehe anyway my first birthday wish arrived "yesterday" at 1030pm sg time. haha my dad sent me a text saying i can go out n have fun n he offered to reimburse me w my expediture! haha so sweet right, including the berlin trip n whatever i wanted to get for myself.. sigh and then mum called n insisted on wishing me when even according to sg time she was early.. anyway jereme was lao-sai-ing (having loose shit, haha) and he had to collect his shit sample to test if he has dengue fever! haha that poor boy. seems like someone cant go to disneyland! haha im so mean but o well he can always go wen im back waha. and julius my brother who celebrated his bd 2 days before mine talked to me in what seems like a.g.e.s. haha so its really nice to receive bd wishes from family :)

and of cos my lovely frens here and back home.. thanks lynn for the update cum bd wish n waimin for the voicemail! so nice to hear ur recorded voice! (haha rem pager days where we used to leave each other voice messages wahah!) and of cos audrey (sorry i was too caught up w lynno that i didnt c the msg!) and mary (hope ure feeling much better). also to devi, kat n sheibala n sandra for the wishes. am loved.

sigh i love all of u all hehe :) will update on how ill be spend my day here cos im not too sure myself. planning to go to an italian restaurant for dinner then bowl/pub however we have not made bookings n its a friday night so its always busy.. we'll play by ear eh? nonetheless i will update! hopefully w pictures!!! :)

and tho i never used to think much of my birthdays cos its the exam periods im learning to enjoy it now! :) watch out berlin! my biggest bd prez to myself! haha

haha well i visited xiaxue's website after a long while cos ive been procrastinating last night while doing the damned assignment n i realised she uses 'omg omg omg' as well haha so just to note that i didnt know lalala...

im happy that wed is over, finished the work but feel shitty cos its a shitty piece of work anyway. also im happy that my lappy is back but yet shitty that it feels foreign. well i have to start all over again. and for some reason im really stressed. haha cos ive got no time to take my time! haha lets see:

haha i got my comp back!! but its really wierd cos its like brand new. sigh i miss my old comp. i even have my old hard drive- i feel sad looking at it. all my memories, all my pictures, all my words everything. i need a funeral for it. but im glad my comps back!! yeah to shows n msn n everything!! im happy but now ive got to head back to the work bless me

there have been many things that i wanted to blog abt. but due to the lack of access to the net i forget wat they r. and by the time im at school w access to it i blog abt things that ive done. quickly n briefly cos its jus not as shiok. anyway ive officially not had my comp for 2 weeks n im pretty used to it now. tho i hope to get it back by tonight so that i can start writing my bloody journal review.

wheehee jus talked to my mummy. its so nice for them to call me cos they hardly do tho we dun ever have much to talk abt anyway but i love her. hehe we're going to bangkok!! maybe jus for 2 days 1 night tho cos i jus gotta use my friggin free ticket. so maybe, massage, shopping and nail art!!! haha but nails r all shortish now. o well o well.

wat did i wanna blog abt?? eh, erm, em.. ooh im stressed!! haha ive got too much things to do these days before i go back in 3 weeks?? ive got 3 shitty assignments n the berlin trip n get my interview recorded n play tennis n lose wt (a bet i made w lb) so i dun think i can actually accomplish so much. this term time jus flew. like really *phew* in a wink of an eye! and i didnt get to watch much shows even! haha the irony. but im enjoying my life walking to n from campus, grocery shopping, cooking n cleaning, chatting, socializing n would i say going to lectures n the gym. this is my life n i love it. if only i have more time more time more time. i hardly even feel homesick not cos i dun but jus that i dun have time to! o well life i good shall i say for now?? ugh no!! i have a review to do by tmr!! nooo......

night out!!

devi, sheiba, liling n i had a fab night out yesterday :) we were invited to nana's house party haha and had a superb time! haha we met a german girl called ellen and she spoke f.l.u.e.n.t. chinese! AND her boyfriend is from hangzhou!! can u believe it?? so cool!!! hahaha i felt ashamed that my chinese but o well im really proud of her and shes really a nice sweet girl! told me ill have fun at berlin!! :):)
of cos we had great food too. simple but good. i loved the spicy rice n meatballs haha yum! my first taste of ghanian food :)

and then we were doing some awkward dancing in the flat. haha i mean how can u let urself dance to r n b when all the blacks ard u were like dance teachers from amore?? haha its like their culture n in their blood!! but it was so cool to c them all dancing so freely n moving so expertly!! haha but the group of us did manage quite well tho cos (uh hum) we headed to souk (club in campus) after our warm up. :)

that was wen the party really began man. also cos i had some alcohol jus 2 glass of red wine n white wine+lemonade (sheebs taught me that it was really refreshing n nice!! higly recommended- esp if ure drinking housepour wine at a uni club where its usually cheap n of poor quality aka the red wine i had) haha anyway u should see my girls shake their arses n booty to the music!! it was really cool cos they had international music n not r n b. it was a mix of english, arabic n bhangra music! hahaha oomg u know wai min they played our belly dancing song!! the one w "habibi habibi"!! haha u remmeber?? so damn cool man i was so excited! hahahha!! belly danicng then did come into great use :) forgot to bring my damned camera but if i get pics fm nana then maybe i can post it up. but of cos u know the situation of my comp now. hopefully itll b fixed by tmr :)

anyway all in all it waS JUS GREAT- DEVI gave her virgin club experience to us!! wheet! n u should see her move! we were shaking so much i was almost aching wen i woke up this noon! haha anyway im going home for dinner now :) ill be having japanese soba! i sure know to pamper myself eh :):)

herbal chicken soup!!

yeah yeah yeah im excited im boiling my chicken soup now!! i hope it turns out nice!! im hungry but a while.. more maybe 1 hr?? ugh.. cant wait cant wait m so proud of myself!! lalala!!

but i tell u de-skinning the thing was damn damn gross la. it looked all raw n baby-ish.. i was trying to stop the visualisation process man but i guess the end product is always well worth it. i hope it comes out good. anyway how bad can it get right? shioookamama man

haha anyway since im so bored ive been spending lots of time in the kitchen. cookin nice meals for myself. ive been eating porridge for 2 days n its so nice!!.esp since its turning cold these days!! ive had it w sweet potato and side dishes lie mroom omelette n leftover duck n canned salmon. ooh i love a hot hot bowl of steaming porridge. jus keeps u warm n feels homey :)

ooh n a tip from devi: eating cubed apples (chop) w salt is damn nicer and another from me adding some lemon makes it damn refreshing too!!! try it! nice snacky thing! :):)

in the midst of stress and pain its really nice to just sit down with old friends and have a cuppa coffee. dont u think? its when ure stressed out that u learn to appreciate the friendships and company of those u love and who love u. everybody learns and its high time i did.
